Andrew Hyslop
CESA Co-Executive Director, ECNL Director

Andrew is a native of Scotland but moved to South Carolina in time to play at various youth levels in the state. A graduate of USC-Spartanburg, Andrew was selected as an NSCAA All-American in 1990 and an NSCAA All-South member in 1989 and 1990. Andrew holds a USSF “B” license and has over 30 years of experience as a club and high school coach, tournament and camp director. Andrew played professional soccer with the Columbia Heat and the Carolina Shamrocks. As the Director of Coaching for the former Greenville Futbol Club, Andrew coached the U18G team that won the Region III championship and placed third nationally in 2000, and he coached the U18G and U15B teams that were Region III finalists in 2004. Andrew will coach the U13 (08), U15 (06), and U19 (03/02) ECNL teams this season.
Cole Atkins
ECNL Assistant Director, Director of Events

Cole is a native of Charleston, SC and attended High Point University where he played in over 75 games as a midfielder during his 4 year career. Cole spent time with the Palm Beach Pumas and Fredericksburg Gunners of the PDL and also trained with Welsh Premier League side Llanelli AFC in 2007. Cole has coaching experience at the youth and college levels and holds his USSF A-Youth, NSCAA (now USC) Premier, and USSF National Youth licenses. After his playing career, Cole entered the world of professional running, competing for Reebok from 2010-2016. He is a 2016 and 2020 US Olympic Marathon Trials Qualifier. Cole will coach the U14 (07), U16 (05), and U17 (04) ECNL teams this season.
Vic Pace
CESA ECNL Boys Director, ECNL Staff Coach

Vic’s experience in coaching and playing spans over 25 years. Prior to joining CESA in 2019 Vic was on the executive leadership team and was an integral part of the growth and success of the Lonestar Soccer Club in Austin, TX since 2002. Earlier he was the Assistant Director of Coaching for the Classics Soccer Club (Houston, TX 1996-2002). He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina – Upstate and was a player/assistant coach for the South Carolina Shamrocks of the USL Select League (1994-1996). In 1994, he was the Head Women’s and Men’s Assistant Coach at Spartanburg Methodist College in which the Men’s Team won the NJCAA National Title. Vic holds US Soccer “A” amd Academy Director licenses. He is married to Darlene (Campbell) and has two children, Megan and Keagan. Vic will coach the U13 (08), U15 (06), and U19 (03/02) ECNL teams this season.
Russell Shelley
ECNL Staff Coach

Russell has over 30 years of coaching experience at the youth level with Sumter Soccer Club, NECSA, GFC, and CESA. He has won numerous South Carolina State Championships and many of his players have advanced to play college and professional soccer. He is a graduate of Lander University and holds his USSF “B” and NSCAA Premier coaching licenses. Russell will coach the U14 (07), U16 (05), and U17 (04) ECNL teams this season.
Pete Townley and Chelsi Woodruff
Pete Townley and Chelsi Woodruff are the Co-Owners of the Upstate Performance Project. Both have experience working with athletes of all abilities and ages. Pete will work primarily with our Boys ECNL Program and Chelsi with our Girls ECNL Program. The mission of the Upstate Performance Project is to provide the highest quality training in The Upstate. Their philosophy is grounded in educating their clients, whether it be a team of athletes or one-on-one personal training clients. They believe that if their athletes know the “hows” and “whys” of what they’re doing, they will buy into the process and yield a lifetime of results. Pete has over 18 years of experience as both a college strength and conditioning coach as well as being a Certified Athletic Trainer. Chelsi is ACSM EIM certified and a former Division I Track and Field Athlete at Florida State University.
Sasha Brown
Head Athletic Trainer

Sasha is a native of South Carolina and attended Winthrop University where she earned her degree in Athletic Training and holds her National Board Certification. She is a member of the National Athletic Training Association, South Carolina Athletic Training Association, and the Bon Secours St. Francis Sports Medicine team where her primary site is the Carolina Elite Soccer Academy. Sasha provides care for sports related injuries during CESA practices and games, and refers athletes for further medical attention when needed. In 2015, Sasha became a Licensed Massage Therapist.
Nick Garilas
CESA Director of Goalkeeping

Nick is a native of Greece and has over 25 years of coaching experience at the youth and college levels. He holds the NSCAA Goalkeeping Advanced National Diploma and his coaching experience includes North Greenville University, Eastside High School, and the CESA Cobras of the WPSL. Nick works with all of our ECNL, Premier, Challenge, and Select level goalkeepers.
Kat Crump
Girls ECNL Goalkeeping Staff Coach
Kat Crump is originally from Huntsville, AL and attended Regis University in Denver, CO, where she started in 60 games during her college career. Prior to moving to Greenville, Kat resided in Jacksonville, Florida, where she was an Assistant Coach at Jacksonville University as well as a goalkeeper coach at Jacksonville FC. Kat has been the Assistant Coach at Furman University since July of 2018 and has been a part of two SOCON Finals as well as a SOCON Championship Team in 2019. Kat currently holds her USSF “D” License as well as her NSCAA Goalkeeping Level 2 Diploma.
Matt Nocks
Boys ECNL Goalkeeping Staff Coach
Matt has been with CESA coaching goalkeepers since 2009. He has worked with all levels and genders at the club, and has worked as a goalkeeper coach for the Furman University Women’s team, USC Upstate Men’s team, and the North Greenville Men’s team in the past. He holds an Advanced National GK diploma from United Soccer Coaches. He currently works primarily with the Boys ECNL goalkeepers. He is married to Melissa, and they have three children: Lila Grace, Caroline, and Charlie.
